👋Introduction

Hi! I’m Brittany, and I’ll be caseworking your foster dog.
I’ll be responsible for:
Supporting you as you foster your dog, including:
Collecting regular updates on how your dog is doing
Communicating with staff about your needs (supplies, transportation, a foster break, etc.)
Scheduling your dog to attend Saturday showings
Providing training tips
And anything else you might need!
Facilitating your dog’s adoption by:
Screening applicants
Scheduling meet and greets
Finalizing the adoption
My number is (501) 213-8314, and I prefer text but can also be available for calls, Facetimes, or Zoom meetings. I work full time, so while I’ll always respond to you in a timely manner, please be patient with me if I don’t get back to you right away. You can contact me for day to day support on any of the things mentioned above.
The CARE emergency number is (501) 804-2273. This number is to be used only for emergencies, such as urgent illnesses or injuries, or lost pets. Please remember that CARE is staffed by only three very hardworking staff members, so this after-hours line is only to be used when absolutely necessary.
In this guide, you’ll find resources that I’ve collected to address common questions, tips, and challenges that may arise as you foster. These are resources that I either wrote or edited while working at Muddy Paws Rescue, or curated directly. These are a great place to start when you need help, but I’ll also be available for more in depth advice any time you need.
While some of these resources may be written specifically for adopted dogs, they apply just as well to fosters!
